What are your minimum orders?

For screenprinting, it is 12.  For embroidery it is 6.  For promotional items, it varies from product to product.  For digital graphics, there is no minimum.

Why do you charge a screen setup fee when some companies don't?

All businesses have to charge for their time or they will go out of business.  Businesses that don't charge for setups have to include this charge in the cost of each printed garment.  We choose to separate these charges on an initial order so that when customers reorder, they don't have to pay that setup fee again.

Why do you have minimums?

The setup and breakdown of each job takes a lot of time.  We strive to keep our minimums low, but we would not be able to stay in business without having minimums order sizes.

Why do dark shirts cost more?

First of all, dark shirts cost more, usually about a $1 more.   Secondly, it is more difficult to print on dark shirts.  Many times, it requires a light color to be flashed (printed, heated and printed again) or an underbase color of white to be printed underneath the light colors.

My logo is on the internet, can you print it on a shirt?

Rarely does this work easily.  A good print starts with good art.  Most web images are 72 dpi.  Images need to be at least 200 dpi, but vector images are the best.  If you are unsure of the difference between vector art and bitmap art, a great explanation of this can be found on wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

What kind of electronic art files do you accept?

We use CorelDraw for most of our art.  We also use PhotoShop for scanning, retouching, and cleaning up art that needs some help.  We can accept Illustrator files, as well as .jpg, .gif, .pdf, but we some of these may require some extra work.  You should also convert all your fonts to curves before sending the file in case you have used fonts that aren't installed on our computers.  If you need help doing this, contact us for some help.

I have a drawing on a piece of paper.  Can you use this?

We do it everyday.  The better your art is to start with, the faster the order will go.  But if you are not sure how to create your art on a computer, go ahead and send it to us, via email, fax or the mail and we can take care of it for you.   Once again, if you are unsure of what to do, just contact us and we can guide you through the process.

What size do you print on the shirts?

This varies depending on the look of the design, but here are some general guidelines.  A left chest print is usually 3.5" wide or tall, whichever is greater.  A full back or full front is usually either 12" wide or 14" tall, whichever is greater.  Also, we take in to consideration what size shirt we will printing on.  Sometimes, when we are doing shirts such a family reunion that will include sizes from youth small to adult 5X, we have to make compromises unless the customer wants to pay to have two more more different sizes of screens made for printing.

Can I use the same artwork for embroidery and screenprinting?

Unfortunately, these are two totally different processes.  For screenprinting, we have to make screens which requires printing out separations.  (See the screenprinting portion of the website for more info.)  Embroidery requires the design to be digitized which is a file that the embroidery machine reads to direct the needles to sew the particular design.

What is the turnaround time for an order?

This can depend on the type of order, quantity ordered and number of orders already inhouse.  We strive for 7-10 day turnaround on the average, but we have done orders in as little time as a matter of hours.  Just let us know your time frame and we will let you know if it is a time frame that we can work with.
